Connecticut was amazing - the resort was nestled in the forest - tucked away - a mansion built from logs. The beds were oversized and comfortable. I slept sound. The air was clean, the smell of bark mulch outside our window. The sound of the birds!
The hotel pub served the best cheeseburger and fries I've ever had.
We got a great deal ($99 a night including a full breakfast buffet each morning).
George and Helen came with us, and a friend of theirs.
We were children again. We played volleyball in the pool, ping pong, and relaxed in the jacuzzi. Ate hot fudge sundaes. Shot pool. Ended the weekend at Six Flags. Must have gone on six roller coasters. Adonis and I held hands each time screaming so loud we lost our voices.
Didn't want to come home, but was exhausted after we closed the amusement park, 8PM Sunday evening. Looooooooooong ride home.
Got sick with a cold the next day, and period one week early which is not usual when you are on the pill. My whole body aches. I feel lethargic. My lower back - forget about it.
Out sick two days.
Back to work today. :(
