noise....the greatest enemy
2008-03-25, 6:58 p.m.
Something is definitely wrong with the baby. And I'm a little freaked out about it. It's probably nothing, but like I mentioned in earlier posts he is balling up his right hand into a fist and hitting it against his body or mine! Also he won't sit comfortably in his bouncer anymore without arching his back and squirming as far down as he can. Does anyone have any theories on this?
We went for a walk today. It was beautiful outside but he didn't sleep as much as usual. He's very fitful and restless. I know this has a lot to do with his teething and hope it passes.
Funny, when you're a mother of a baby who doesn't sleep suddenly every noise you encounter becomes your worst enemy. I must have shot a glance at at least three people today who were making too much noise while walking past me. The garbage outside our window continues to be a constant source of my frustration. I will be writing a letter to the landlord and requesting that he move it.
After a great deal of deliberation I decided that it is not such a bad idea to have my husband's mother come again from Greece for a couple of months to help us out. She really is a sweet woman. We'll make it work. My plan is to get a work from home transcription position. Having her here will allow me to make some money for those couple of months while she watches the baby.
I told my husband when he came home from work tonight and he seemed so pleased. I told him to hold off on asking her until I find a job. But I'm confident I will, as I have a background in transcription and am a very fast typist.

he could have an ear infection.. that makes them quite uncomfortable, and the first sign my son had one was that he wouldn't sleep well. Are you taking him to a doc soon?
