I am a 39 year old, stay at home mother of a beautiful baby boy. I got married late in life when I was 35, and had my son at 38. Although I never planned on marriage or children, I have to say that both my husband and son are the best thing that could have happened to me (regardless of how much I bitch and moan). My passion is for travel and cooking. I also love to write and have been blogging on d-land since 2003. (Click HERE to read more.)

The Real Scoop

<< say goodbye to junk mail >>
2008-04-18, 8:54 p.m.

Stop Junk Mail / Save Trees
About a year ago I signed up for GREEN DIME, a non-profit organization that will, at your request and a small one time fee of $20, stop the influx of junk mail to your mailbox in its tracks, AND plant ten trees in your name! I wouldn't have believed it possible, until one by one the catalogues stopped coming. I hadn't signed up to receive any of them, so you can imagine my frustration. Even though I was recycling them it bothered me that companies seemed to care less about the impact their damn catalogues were having on the environment, and if you REALLY wanted it in the first place. I just don't get it, why send someone something they're going to throw away?

I highly recommend paying Green Dimes the twenty bucks to save you and the environment the unnecessary waste. But hold on to those furniture catalogs and send them my way would you?

YESTERDAY - TODAY

Love Rose
