I am a 39 year old, stay at home mother of a beautiful baby boy. I got married late in life when I was 35, and had my son at 38. Although I never planned on marriage or children, I have to say that both my husband and son are the best thing that could have happened to me (regardless of how much I bitch and moan). My passion is for travel and cooking. I also love to write and have been blogging on d-land since 2003. (Click HERE to read more.)

The Real Scoop

<< a new development >>
2008-07-24, 4:02 p.m.

Can somebody please tell me what this rash is on my inner left arm? It started out as a red dot and has turned into this! I didn't notice it until today because it doesn't itch. I've never seen anything like it.

Is it a heat rash? You mentioned how much you were sweating and such, could it be from that. When you sweat, that area (in your antecubital or area where they draw your blood) tends to get very moist very easily. Thats what it looks like to me, but again, I have no clue. I would keep it very clean and dry, don't let any sweat or moisture get in there. If it's a heat rash it should clear up soon. Keeping it dry is the key!

You are probably right about the heat rash. Still Sweating by the way...haven't stopped. I should have lost fifty pounds in water weight by now, but alas I'm still carrying the baby weight.

For what it's worth, I know if you've had a virus, it sometimes ends up its cycle in your body as some type of rash. This has happened on several occasions with my daughter. If you're really concerned or it gets worse/bothers you...or if the baby develops it, you should call your dr/pediatrician for more professional advice.
